Hi, my name is Lijun Ding, and I am currently a postdoc at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. You can also find me here. I will be an assistant professor at the Industrial and System Engineering Department at Texas A&M University. Let me know if you are interested in doing research with me in optimization, statistics, and machine learning.
This blog contains my little discoveries in Optimization, Probability, and Statistics from my studies along my academic journey at the University of Chicago, Cornell University, the University of Washington, and the University of Wisconsin — Madison. Though some of them turn out to be special cases of some more general theorem, because of the specialty, the proof here is much simpler or more elementary. They are usually the side products of my teaching assistance of a course, a course I took, or my research.
Hope these discoveries will be intriguing and inspiring to you (sorry for the typos in the posts, please let me know if you find them).
